that itcould be exposed towater, chemical or oil.
CAUTIONS3
This product has been developed/ producedfor industrial use only.
The thin cable (0.1mm
2
) isused for this product.Thus,
take carethat ifthecable ispulled withexcessive
force, itmay cause cable break.
Make sure that the power supplyis off while wiring.
Takecare thatwrongwiringwilldamage thesensor.
Verify that the supply voltage variationis withintherating.
If power issupplied from a commercial switching regu-
lator,ensurethat theframe ground(F.G.)terminalof
the powersupply isconnected to an actual ground.
In case noise generating equipment (switching regula-
tor,invertermotor,etc.)isusedin thevicinityofthis
product, connect the frameground (F.G.) terminal of
the equipment to an actualground.
Do notrun thewires togetherwith high-voltagelines or
power lines orput themin thesame raceway. This can
cause malfunction due to induction.
Extension up tototal 50m, is possible with 0.3mm
2
, or
more, cable forboth, emitter and receiver. However, in or-
der to reduce noise, make the wiring as shortas possible.
Do not useduring the initial transient time (50ms)after
thepower supplyisswitchedon.
Take care that the sensor isnotdirectlyexposed to
fluorescentlamp from a rapid-starter lamp, a high fre-
quency lighting deviceor sunlight etc., asit may affect
the sensing performance.
Thissensor issuitableforindooruseonly.
Make sure that stress by forcible bend or pulling is not
applied directly to the sensor cable joint.
Since the cable end is not waterproof,do not use the sensor in
the application where water may seep in from the cable end.
This sensor cannot be used with a non-transparent pipe.
Fit thesensortoapipesecurely,otherwise theopera-
tion may be erroneous.
If a liquid drop flows down acrossthe sensing point oran
air bubble sticks on the wall at thesensing point, the opera-
tion may be aected. Make sure that no bubble formsin the
liquid,and nodeworliquiddropattaches oneithersurface.
