Rocstor’s 3ft (1m) Port FTDI USB to Serial RS232 Adapter Cable with COM Retention

easily connects your serial devices, such as PDAs, modems, printers, and scanners, to

your USB-enabled Mac or PC. This professional-grade solution not only adds a

high-speed serial port to your system but also ensures that your conguration settings

Before attempting to use this unit, please check the packaging and make sure the

following items are contained in the packaging:

Windows XP and Up

•Insert the driver disk into your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.

•Locate and run 2303 Driver Installer.exe.

•In the InstallShield Wizard, click Next to begin installing the USB-to-Serial driver.

•Once installation is complete, click Finish.

•Connect the USB-to-Serial adapter to an available USB port on your computer.

•If prompted about Windows XP Logo compatibility, click Continue Anyway.

Windows will install the driver.

•Once the driver is found, click Next and then Finish to complete the installation.

•With your computer on and the adapter installed, connect your peripheral to the

adapter and power it on.

•If using the peripheral for the rst time, follow the device's installation procedures

and any on-screen prompts. If the device was previously installed on another

RS-232 (COM) port, the proper drivers should install automatically.

•Note: For modem connections under Windows 2000, specify it as a

“Standard Modem."
