Operating principle
Air Velocity: Hall Effect Sensor
The rotation of the vane probe activates a circular magnet with 8
poles. A dual Hall effect sensor positioned near the magnet detects
changes in the polarity of the magnetic eld. The sensor’s output is
converted into an electrical frequency, which is proportional to the
rotation speed of the vane probe. The timing of the signals also helps
determine the direction of rotation.

sure consistent measurement quality.
As part of our Quality Assurance Stand-
ards, we recommend conducting an an-
nual check-up.
