Bluetooth Headset

Safety

•Check your local regulations regarding mobile phone use in combination

withdriving.

•Shut off both theheadset and mobile phone in areas where you are requested

to do so, such as hospitals, aircraft or explosive environments.

•Use only theincluded USB lead to charge theheadset.

•Do not let children play with theheadset.

Things to consider:

•Other wireless equipment using thesame frequency can reduce

thetransmission range.

•The range of all wireless equipment depends on thetype of obstacles located

between thetransmitter and thereceiver (e.g. aconcrete wall will interfere with

thesignal more than aplasterboard wall).

If you experience problems, try thefollowing:

•Turn off any other existing wireless equipment to check if this is thecause of

theproblem.

•Move any other existing wireless equipment. Shorten thedistance between

thesending and receiving devices and reduce thenumber of obstacles (walls,

furniture, etc.) between them.

Buttons and functions

Charging

Note: Theheadset cannot make or receive calls while it is being recharged.

1. Connect theincluded USB cable to theheadset and to asuitable USB

charger (e.g.computer or other mains charger).

2. The LED indicator shines red when charging is in progress.

3. Charging takes 1–2 hours, and when thebattery is fully charged theLED

indicator will shineblue.

4. If theLED indicator changes from blue to red during use, it means that

thebattery needs charging.

Operating instructions

Turning the headset on

Hold down [ ] for 3 seconds. Theheadset will beep, theLED indicator

will flash blue and theheadset will come on. TheLED indicator will flash quickly

2times every 4th second when theheadset ison.

Turning the headset off

Hold down [ ] for 5 seconds. Theheadset will beep, theLED indicator will

flash red and theheadset will switch off.

Connecting the headset to a mobile phone via Bluetooth (Pairing)

1. Check that theheadset is switched off.

2. Hold down [ ]for 5 seconds until theLED indicator flashes red/blue.

3. Activate Bluetooth on themobile phone that is to be paired with theheadset

and set it in search mode.

4. The Bluetooth speaker will appear as “H28S” on your mobile phone.

Selectthis as thedevice to be connected. Referto your mobile phone’s

instruction manual if you are unsure.

Note: Ifyou are prompted to enter aPIN code on your mobile phone, you

should enter 0000 (four noughts). Certain mobile phones may even require

you to approve theconnection.

5. The LED indicator will flash quickly once every 4th second when theheadset

and mobile phone are paired.

6. The next time theheadset is switched on it will automatically connect to

themobile phone.

Connecting the headset to a second mobile phone via Bluetooth

The headset can be connected to 2 mobile phones at thesame time. Procedure:

1. Connect thefirst mobile phone to theheadset as described above.

2. Connect thesecond mobile phone in thesame way as thefirstone.

3. Turn theheadset off.

4. Switch theheadset on again but only hold down the[

]button for

3 seconds so that theheadset comes on as normal without being in

theBluetooth mode.

Accepting an incoming call

•The headset emits anaudible signal if anincoming call is received, press

[ ]once to answer thecall.

•You can also answer thecall by pressing thecorresponding button on your

mobile phone.

Ending a call

•Press [ ]once to end acall.

•You can also end thecall by pressing thecorresponding button on your

mobile phone.

Transferring calls from the headset to a mobile phone

•Hold down [ ] for 2 seconds to transfer acall from theheadset to

amobile phone.

•Hold down [ ] for 2 seconds again to transfer thecall back to theheadset.

Redialling the last number called

Press [ ]twice in quick succession to redial thelast number called.

Rejecting calls

When an incoming call has been received, hold down [ ] for 2 seconds to

reject the call.

Voice dialling

Hold down [ ]for 3 seconds, say thename of theperson you wish tocall.

Note: Thefunction only works if your mobile phone supports voice dialling.

Care and maintenance

•Avoid exposing theheadset to moisture, damp, high temperatures and humidity.

•Clean theheadset using alightly moistened cloth. Onlyuse mild cleaning

agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

Troubleshooting guide

The LED indicator shines red

The headset needs charging. Connect theheadset to acomputer or other USB

charger. Referto theCharging paragraph above.

The headset cannot connect to the mobile phone

•Make sure that both theheadset and thephone are fully charged and try to

connect again later. Referto theConnecting theheadset to amobile phone

via Bluetooth paragraph above.

•Make sure that thedistance between units is no more than 10 metres and

that there are no electrical or other devices that might cause interference

between them.

•If none of theabove solutions help, refer to themobile phone’s operating

instructions.
