•USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED BULBS. DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE!

CLEANING TIPS

Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe

down the xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.

PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION

Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes

above. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and completely

remove the old xture from the ceiling, including the old mounting

strap.

1. Take the mounting strap assembly from the parts bag. One end of the

nipple (C) should be attached to mounting strap (A) with a washer and

hex nut. The other end should have canopy loop (F) attached.

2. Use a screwdriver and mounting screws (B) to attach mounting strap

(A) to the junction box. About half of the exterior threads of nipple (C)

shouldbeexposed,allowingthecanopyloop(F)totsnuglyontonipple

(C).Testtoensurethatwithcanopy(D)inplace,canopyloop(F)tsonto

nipple (C).

3. Remove the canopy and set aside for later. Pull house wires through

the center of the mounting strap (A).

CONNECTING THE WIRES

5.Haveanassistantsupporttheweightofthexturewhilecompleting

the wiring. Cut away any excess wire while leaving a 8 to 10 inches

ofwireforinstallation.Attachthexture’swirestothehousewires

which were pulled earlier from the junction box through the mounting

strap (A). Connect black to black (transparent wire with black inner

thread or smooth); white to white (transparent wire with white inner

thread or ribbed); ground to ground (green, transparent wire with green

inner thread, or copper). Twist the ends of the wire pairs together, and

then twist on a wire connector. Make sure all twists are in the same

direction. If there is no ground wire (green or copper) coming from the

junction box, locate ground screw (E) on the mounting strap and wrap

thexture’sgroundwirearoundthegreengroundscrew(E).Usea

screwdriver to secure ground screw (E) onto the mounting bracket. Tuck

all wires neatly into the junction box.

FINISHING THE INSTALLATION

6. Attach one end of each decorative chains (J) to the hooks found on the bottom of the top loop (H).

7. Push canopy (D) up to the ceiling and slide canopy loop collar (I) up beneath the canopy. Tightly thread canopy loop collar (I) onto

canopy loop (F) to secure canopy (D) in place.

Installlightbulbs(notincluded)intosockets(K)inaccordancewiththexture’sspecications.Donotexceedmaximum

recommended wattage.

Yourinstallationisnowcomplete.Turnonthepowerandtestthexture.

ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE

4. Measure to determine the number of chains needed for proper hanging

height. If necessary use a chain opener to remove excess chain. Attach

one chain connector (G) to each end of the chain. Attach one end of the

chain with chain connector to the top loop (H). Attach the remaining chain

with chain connector to the canopy loop (F). Close the chain connectors

(G)tosecure.Feedxturewiresthroughthetoploop(H)andupthechain

(every three links or so). Feed the remaining wires through the canopy

loop (F) and canopy (D). Pull the wires until taut. Slide the canopy (D) and

canopy loop collar (I) down the chain for now.
