PRECAUTIONS
This AC adapter and Rapid charger is exclusively for use with KENWOOD transceivers.
The battery pack includes ammable objects such as organic solvent. Mishandling may cause the
battery to rupture producing ames or extreme heat, deteriorate, or cause other forms of damage to the
battery. Please observe the following prohibitive matters.
• Use only the specied AC adapter and battery charger by KENWOOD.
• Always remove the AC adapter from a wall outlet before attempting to inspect or clean the charger.
• Do not disassemble the charger and AC adapter.
• If the transceiver and battery pack are wet, do not place them into the charger.
• Do not expose the charger to rain or moisture.
• Do not use the damaged AC adapter and charger.
• Do not short the charging terminals with metal objects.
• Do not reverse-charge or reverse-connect the battery.
• Do not use the charger in hot or humid environments, in direct sunlight, nor near heaters.
CHARGING PROCEDURE
1 Plug the AC adapter cable into the adapter jack located on the rear of
the charger.
2 Plug the AC adapter into an AC outlet.
3 Slide a battery pack or a transceiver equipped with a battery pack
into the charging slot.
• Make sure the metal contacts of the battery pack mate securely
with the charger terminals.
• The indicator lights red and charging starts.
4 When charging is completed, the indicator lights green (or blinking
green).
• Remove the battery pack or the transceiver from the charging slot.
• When the charger will not be used for a long time, unplug the AC
adapter from the AC outlet.
CHARGER STATUS TABLE
Indicator Color Meaning
Red A battery pack is in the charging slot and charging has started.
Blinking red The battery pack is defective or the battery pack contacts are not properly
mated with those of the charger.
Green
(or blinking green)
Charging is completed; remove the battery pack or the transceiver from the
charging slot.
Blinking green and
yellow
The temperature of the battery pack has not satisîť°ed the charging start
temperature. In this instance, remove the battery until its temperature
increases, then recharge it.

récepteursKENWOOD.
Le bloc-piles contient des produits inammables tels qu’un solvant organique, par exemple. Une
mauvaise manipulation du bloc-piles peut la ssurer et entraîner des ammes ou une chaleur extrême,
ou encore la détériorer et provoquer d’autres formes de dégâts. Veuillez respecter les interdictions
suivantes.
• Utilisez uniquement l'adaptateur secteur et le chargeur de bloc-piles spécié par KENWOOD.
• Débranchez l'adaptateur secteur de la prise murale avant de vérier ou de nettoyer le chargeur.
• Ne démontez pas le chargeur ni l'adaptateur secteur.
• Si l'émetteur-récepteur et le bloc-piles sont mouillés, ne le placé pas dans le chargeur.
• N’exposez pas le chargeur à la pluie ou à l’humidité.
• N'utilisez pas un adaptateur secteur ou un chargeur endommagé.
• Ne court-circuitez pas les bornes de charge avec des objets métalliques.
• N’inversez pas le chargement ou le branchement du bloc-piles !
• N'utilisez pas le chargeur dans un environnement chaud ou humide, à la lumière directe du soleil ou
près d'un chauage.
PROCÉDURE DE CHARGE
1 Branchez le câble de l'adaptateur secteur sur la prise de l'adaptateur
située à l'arrière du chargeur.
2 Branchez l'adaptateur secteur sur une prise secteur murale.
3 Faites glisser un bloc-piles ou un émetteur-récepteur muni d'un bloc-
piles dans la fente de charge.
• Assurez-vous que les contacts de métal du bloc-piles sont bien en
contact avec les bornes du chargeur.
• L'indicateur s'allume en rouge et la charge commence.
4 Quand la charge est terminée, l'indicateur s'allume en vert (ou
clignotement en vert).
• Retirez le bloc-piles ou l'émetteur-récepteur de la fente de charge.
• Si le chargeur ne doit pas être utilisé pendant longtemps,
débranchez l'adaptateur secteur de la prise secteur murale.

Rouge Un bloc-piles se trouve dans la fente de charge et la charge a commencé.
Clignotement en rouge Le bloc-piles est défectueux ou les contacts du bloc-piles ne sont pas
susamment en contact avec ceux du chargeur.
Vert
(ou clignotement en vert)
La charge est terminée ; retirez le bloc-piles ou l'émetteur-récepteur de la
fente de charge.
Clignotement en vert et
jaune
La température du bloc-piles ne correspond pas à la température de
démarrage de charge. Dans ce cas, retirez le bloc-piles jusqu'à ce que sa
température augmente, puis rechargez-le.
