Thank you for purchasing a Mag-Lite® flashlight product. To register your

OPERATION: Large end of battery spring must be snapped into tailcap.
Always install batteries with the “+” end facing the head end of the
flashlight and the “-” end facing the tailcap end of the flashlight. Switch -
Push button switch. Flood to Spot - Rotate head of flashlight to adjust from a
wide flood beam to an intense spotlight.
Your Flashlight’s Function Sets and the Functions Within Each Set
As the chart below shows, your MAGLITE® ML100™ flashlight is capable of
five different functions – Full Power, PowerSave (25% power), Strobe (flashes
12 times per second), SOS Signal (the International Morse Code distress
signal) and Momentary On/Off (stays on only while the switch button is held
down). Not all of these functions are equally important to every user. To a
police officer, it may be important to have instant access to the Momentary
ON/Off function; a boating enthusiast may want to have the SOS Signal
function ready to use. That is why these functions are organized into four
different function sets – so that you can personalize your flashlight to suit
your needs, configuring it for quickest access to the functions that best
match your preference.
How To Choose A Function Within a Set
The available function sets, and the functions within each one, are shown in
the following table:
As it comes out of the package, your MAGLITE® ML100™ LED flashlight is set
to the “Standard” function set (Function Set #1 in the chart). If you require
only those three functions (Full Power, PowerSave and Strobe), then you
never have to change it. You can select a function within that set by the
“Quick Click” method: Turn the flashlight on with one Quick Click and it is on
at Full Power. Turn it off, then turn it on with two Quick Clicks (about as fast
as you would say “Click Click”) and it turns on at 25% power – the PowerSave
function. Turn it off, then turn it on with three Quick Clicks (about as fast as
you would say “Click Click Click”) and you have the Strobe function.
Selecting a function within any of the other function sets works the same way
–with one, two or three Quick Clicks, as the chart shows. For example, if you
are in Function Set #2 and you want to select the SOS Signal function, begin
with the flashlight off, apply three Quick Clicks, and your flashlight will signal
SOS (the familiar three dots, three dashes and three dots: . . . -- -- -- . . .)

ow To Go From One Function Set To Another
Y
our MAGLITE® ML100™ LED flashlight’s “standard”
setting is Function Set #1.
If you want to keep that
setting you don’t have to do anything. Function Set
#1 will always be in effect unless it is changed. If you
want to choose a different function set, follow these
s
teps:
1. Unscrew the tail cap (you may not have to remove
it all the way; you only need to back it out of the
barrel enough that the flashlight will not turn on).
2. Pause for 2 seconds.
3. Press the switch button and keep holding it down.
4. While still holding down the switch button, screw
the tail cap back in until it is tight.
5
. Keep holding down the switch button. Within
about 4 seconds the flashlight will start to blink.
6. The number of blinks indicates the new selected
Function Set.
7. To choose a new Function Set, release the switch

How To Fine-Adjust The Flashlight’s Beam Alignment
Your MAGLITE® ML100™ LED flashlight’s beam is aligned at the factory, and
you can use the flashlight just as it comes out of the package. The steps
described below are for users who wish to refine the beam pattern to achieve
the brightest, tightest, best-centered spot beam possible. This feature is also
useful to readjust beam alignment, if necessary, after the flashlight has
undergone particularly rough use.
Alignment adjustment is a process of unlocking the “skirt” (the back half of
the flashlight’s head, marked (A) in Figs. 2 and 4), sliding the skirt down the
flashlight’s barrel (B) to gain access to the alignment ring (marked (C) in Figs.
3 and 4), focusing the flashlight to the tightest possible spot beam using the
focusing ring (marked (D) in Figs. 3 and 4), and then moving the alignment ring
(C) until the best-centered spot is achieved. Here are the steps in more detail:
1. Begin by unlocking the flashlight’s skirt (A) by grasping the flashlight’s
barrel (B) in your right hand and its head in your left hand, extending your
right thumb and index finger onto the base of the flashlight’s skirt (A), as seen
in Fig. 1:
2. Using your right thumb and index finger, push forward on the skirt (A)
closing the gap between the skirt and the face cap (F). While maintaining
forward pressure with your right hand, use your left hand to grasp the knurled
ring (E) between your left thumb and index finger and begin to turn it in either
direction. Once you have turned the knurled ring (E) approximately 1/16th
turn, release the forward pressure on the skirt (A) and continue to turn the
knurled ring (E). The knurled ring (E) will spring back, releasing the skirt (A)
and allowing you to slide it down the barrel (B). This exposes the alignment
ring (C).
3. Once you have slid the skirt (A) down the barrel (B), as seen in Figs. 3 and
4, turn the flashlight on. Just behind the knurled ring (E) is a large plastic ring
called the focusing ring (D). By turning the focusing ring (D) in either
direction, focus the light to the tightest spot possible. Once focused, locate
the smaller plastic ring, called the alignment ring (C), which you will use to
adjust the beam alignment. Grasping the flashlight’s barrel (B) in your left
hand (see Fig. 4), take the alignment ring (C) between the thumb and index
finger of your right hand. Then “tilt” the alignment ring (C) in different
directions and watch the effect on the spot as you do this. You will see the
spot become either more distorted or closer to round. When you find the
position where the spot is as close to round as possible, the beam is optimally
aligned. Leave the alignment ring (C) in that position.
4. Once the optimal alignment has been achieved, turn the light off and lock
the skirt (A) back into its normal position at the back of the head of the

lashlight. Begin by sliding the skirt (A) up the barrel (B) all the way to the back
edge of the knurled ring (E). If it will not go up all the way, the skirt (A) will
have to be turned while pushing it forward until it re-aligns with the ribs on
the large plastic focusing ring (D). Once it slips over these ribs it will go all
the way up to the back of the knurled ring (E). Once the skirt (A) is against the

nurled ring (E), again push the skirt forward to close the gap between the
knurled ring (E) and the face cap (F) and turn the knurled ring (E) 1/16th turn
in either direction; then release the forward pressure on the skirt and
continue turning the knurled ring (E). You should hear / see the skirt push
back into the locked position. When the skirt (A) is back in its locked position,
t
urning it will focus the light from spot to flood as usual.

OTE: If the knurled ring (E) is moved forward and turned while the skirt is
out of position, the mechanism could lock and prevent the skirt from returning
to its normal position. If this occurs, push the knurled ring forward (toward
the flashlight’s head) and turn it slightly (it will require less than 1/16 inch of a
turn) until it clicks and backs away from the face cap (F). Then return the skirt
t
o its normal position by following instruction #4.
TROUBLESHOOTING
: If flashlight does not turn on or stay on - 1. Check the
batteries. If they are exhausted, replace. 2. Check the tail cap. Make sure it is
fully tightened. The metal surfaces contacting the barrel, tail cap and spring
assembly should be shiny metal without obstruction between them. Any
corrosion formed by a foreign substance should be carefully removed. 3. If all
of the above steps have been followed and the flashlight still does not perform
properly, follow the steps in the How and When to Make a Warranty Claim
section, or see the Customer Service Section at www.maglite.com or contact

INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
: For prolonged life and efficiency, it is
necessary periodically to inspect and perform preventative maintenance on
y
our flashlight as follows: 1. Inspection - Any battery may leak caustic
solutions or gases which can corrode the inside of your flashlight. You should
r
emove the batteries at least once a month and visually inspect the inside of
the flashlight for signs of corrosion. If corrosion is seen, follow the
instructions in the How and When to Make a Warranty Claim section. 2.
Separate Storage of Batteries - If your flashlight is used infrequently, e.g.,
once a month or less, it is recommended to remove the batteries and store
them separately. This helps guard against corrosion and may also prolong
battery life. 3. Maintenance - Place a small amount of petroleum jelly on all
threads and rubber lip seals every six months.
WARNINGS
: AVOID EYE INJURY - Do not stare directly into beam or shine it
directly into anyone’s face. Doing so for more than a few seconds could
cause retinal damage. Any battery may leak harmful chemicals which may
damage skin, clothing or the inside of the flashlight. TO AVOID RISK OF
INJURY, DO NOT LET ANY MATERIAL LEAKED FROM A BATTERY COME IN
CONTACT WITH EYES OR SKIN. Any battery may rupture or explode if put in
a fire or otherwise exposed to excessive heat. TO AVOID RISK OF INJURY, DO
NOT EXPOSE BATTERIES TO EXCESSIVE HEAT. To reduce the risk of personal
injury or harm to your flashlight, take the following precautions: • Use only
alkaline batteries from a reputable manufacturer. • Do not use different
brands of batteries in the same flashlight. • When replacing batteries, always
replace the whole set. • Do not use rechargeable or reuseable alkaline
batteries. • Do not try to recharge batteries that are not specifically designed
to be recharged. • Warning: batteries must be inserted correctly. Failure to do
so could cause permanent damage to the LED module. • Follow battery
manufacturer’s instructions as to proper handling, storage and disposal of
batteries. • Carefully follow the steps listed under INSPECTION AND
MAINTENANCE. • Not recommended for use by children under fourteen
years of age.
TEN YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Mag Instrument, Inc. (Mag) warrants to the
original owner that this flashlight is free from defects in parts and
workmanship for ten years from the date of first retail purchase. Mag or an
authorized Mag Warranty Service Center will, free of charge, repair the
flashlight or, at its option, replace a defective flashlight or component. (Mag
does not warrant the future availability of any particular colors, markings or
decorations, and reserves the option to replace a custom flashlight with a
standard flashlight.) Registration is not required for warranty coverage. This
warranty is in lieu of all other warranties and conditions, express or implied.
EXCLUSIONS
: This warranty does not cover any of the following: 1. Battery
exhaustion; 2. Battery leakage; 3. LED burnout and/or LED module failure; or
4. Damage to or failure of the flashlight or any component thereof due to
alteration, misuse, battery leakage or lack of maintenance.
Mag disclaims any responsibility for incidental or consequential damages.
Some jurisdictions (countries, provinces, and states) do not allow exclusion
or limitation of implied warranties, incidental or consequential damages
a
nd/or limitations on transferability, so the above limitations and exclusions
may not apply to you.
How and when to make a warranty claim: 1. In case of battery exhaustion, do
not return the flashlight to Mag, but replace the batteries. 2. If the flashlight
has been damaged by leakage of batteries, do not return the flashlight to Mag
but determine what brand of battery caused the damage and follow the

attery manufacturer’s instructions about how to make a damage claim. 3. For
warranty returns: Send the flashlight (postage or shipping prepaid) to Mag
Instrument, 1721 East Locust Street - 51453, Ontario, California, USA 91761-
7769, Attention: Warranty/Repair Department, or to an authorized Mag
Warranty Service Center. For the location of an authorized Mag Warranty

ervice Center in your area, consult the retailer where you purchased the
flashlight or see the customer service section at www.maglite.com. For your
protection and to expedite handling and/or postal claims, we recommend that
all returns be insured and sent Certified and/or Return Receipt Requested. Do
not send batteries with flashlights.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights
which vary from country to country, province to province, and state to state.
Where any term of this warranty is prohibited by the law of any jurisdiction,
such term shall there be null and void, but the remainder of this warranty shall
remain in full force and effect. THESE STATEMENTS DO NOT AFFECT THE
STATUTORY RIGHTS OF A CONSUMER.

GEBRUIK VAN DE ZAKLAMP:
Klik het brede gedeelte van de batterijveer in
de schroefdop. Installeer de batterijen altijd met de "+" pool naar de kop van
de zaklamp gericht en de "-" pool naar het achtergedeelte van de
z
aklantaarn. Schakelaar - Drukknop. Brede naar gerichte lichtbundel - Draai
de kop van de zaklamp om de lichtstraal te veranderen van een brede naar
gerichte lichtbundel.
Functies van de zaklamp en functies binnen elke set
De MAGLITE® ML100™ zaklamp heeft vijf verschillende functies die in de
tabel hieronder zijn weergegeven: Full Power, PowerSave (25% stroom),
Strobe (knippert 12 keer per seconde), SOS-signaal (het internationaal
hulpsignaal in morse) en Momentary aan/uit (blijft aan zolang u op de
schakelaar drukt). Niet al deze functies zijn even belangrijk voor iedere
gebruiker. Voor een politieagent is de momentary aan/uit-functie misschien
handig; een enthousiaste zeiler heeft misschien meer aan de SOS-functie.
Daarom zijn deze functies ondergebracht in vier verschillende functiesets,
zodat u uw zaklamp kunt instellen volgens uw eigen wensen en behoeften. U
kunt de zaklamp zo instellen dat de functies die u het meest gebruikt, direct
beschikbaar zijn.
Hoe kies ik een functie binnen een set
In de volgende tabel worden de beschikbare functiesets en de functies
binnen elke set weergegeven:
De MAGLITE® ML100™ LED zaklamp is in de fabriek ingesteld op de
"standaard" functieset (functieset #1 in de tabel). Heeft u alleen deze drie
functies nodig (Full Power, PowerSave en Strobe), dan hoeft u niets te
veranderen. U selecteert een functie binnen de set met de "Snelklik" methode:
Schakel de zaklamp aan met een snelklik en hij staat op Full Power. Schakel
hem uit en terug aan met twee snelklikken (ongeveer zo snel als men “klik
klik” zegt) om de zaklamp in te stellen op 25% stroom - de PowerSave-functie.
Schakel hem uit en terug aan met drie snelklikken (ongeveer zo snel als men
“klik klik klik” zegt) om de zaklamp in te stellen op de Strobe-functie.
Een functie selecteren binnen een andere functieset werkt op dezelfde
manier; met een, twee, of drie snelklikken zoals weergegeven in de tabel. U
bevindt zich bijvoorbeeld in functieset #2 en u wenst de SOS-signaalfunctie
te selecteren: begin dan met de zaklamp uit, klik drie keer snel en uw zaklamp
geeft het SOS-signaal (het bekende drie keer kort, drie keer lang, drie keer
kort . . . -- -- -- . . .)
Veranderen van functieset
Uw MAGLITE® ML100™ LED zaklamp is standaard ingesteld op functieset #1.
Wilt u deze instelling behouden, dan hoeft u niets te doen. Functieset #1 werkt
altijd, tenzij deze wordt veranderd. Wilt u een andere functieset instellen, ga
dan als volgt te werk:
1
. Draai de schroefdop los (de dop hoeft er niet af, alleen losdraaien zodat de
zaklamp niet aanschakelt).
2. Wacht 2 seconden.
3. Druk op de schakelaar en houd deze ingedrukt.
4. Houd de schakelaar ingedrukt en schroef de dop er terug op tot deze goed
vastzit.
5. Houd de schakelaar ingedrukt. De zaklamp gaat binnen 4 seconden
knipperen.
6. Het aantal knipperlichten geeft de nu geselecteerde functieset aan.
7. Om een nieuwe functieset te kiezen, laat u de schakelaar los na het
overeenstemmende aantal knipperlichten (laat los na 1 knipperlicht om
functieset #1 te kiezen, laat los na 2 knipperlichten om functieset #2 te kiezen,

aat los na 3 knipperlichten om functieset #3 te kiezen en laat los na 4
knipperlichten om functieset #4 te kiezen. De functieset van uw keuze blijft
v
an kracht tot u deze verandert aan de hand van bovenstaande handelingen.

De lichtbundel van uw zaklamp correct uitlijnen
De lichtbundel van uw MAGLITE® ML100™ LED is uitgelijnd in de fabriek, en
de zaklamp is gebruiksklaar bij aankoop. De hieronder beschreven
h
andelingen zijn voor gebruikers die de lichtbundel willen verfijnen tot de
helderste, meest geconcentreerde en best gecentreerde lichtstraal. Deze
f
unctie is ook handig voor het eventueel opnieuw uitlijnen van de lichtbundel
na heel ruw gebruik van de zaklamp.
Het proces voor opnieuw uitlijnen bestaat samengevat uit het losmaken van
de "rok" (het achtergedeelte van de kop van de zaklamp, (A) in figs. 2 en 4),
het naar beneden duwen van de rok over het handvat (B) zodat u toegang
k
rijgt tot de uitlijnring ((C) in fig. 3 en 4), de lichtbundel focussen tot het kleinst
mogelijke punt aan de hand van de focusring ((D) in fig. 3 en 4), en de
uitlijnring (C) draaien tot het best gecentreerde punt is bereikt. Hierna volgt
een gedetailleerde beschrijving van alle stappen:
1. Maak de rok (A) los door het handvat (B) vast te houden met uw
rechterhand en de kop met de linkerhand, waarbij u de rechterduim en -
wijsvinger op het onderste gedeelte van de rok (A) houdt. Zie fig. 1:
2. Met behulp van uw duim en wijsvinger duwt u de rok (A) naar voor zodat de
ruimte tussen de rok en de kap (F) verdwijnt. Blijf druk uitoefenen met uw
rechterhand en gebruik de linkerhand om de kartelring (E) met uw linkerduim
en -wijsvinger naar links of rechts te draaien. Zodra de kartelring (E)
ongeveer 1/16 slag gedraaid is, laat u de rok (A) los en blijft u de kartelring
draaien (E). De kartelring (E) springt terug, waardoor de rok (A) vrijgegeven
wordt en u deze over het handvat (B) kunt schuiven. Hierdoor wordt de
uitlijnring (C) zichtbaar.
3. Zodra u de rok (A) over het handvat (B) hebt geschoven zoals weergegeven
in fig. 3 en 4, schakelt u de zaklamp aan. Net achter de kartelring (E) zit een
grote plastic ring, de focusring (D). De lichtbundel wordt zo goed mogelijk
gefocust door deze focusring (D) in beide richtingen te draaien. Zodra dit is
uitgevoerd, zoekt u de kleinere plastic ring, de uitlijnring (C) waarmee de
lichtbundel wordt uitgelijnd. Houd het handvat (B) in uw linkerhand (zie fig. 4),
en houd de uitlijnring (C) tussen de duim en wijsvinger van uw rechterhand.
Kantel vervolgens de uitlijnring (C) in verschillende richtingen en bekijk het
effect op het lichtpunt. Het lichtpunt wordt ofwel verwrongen ofwel ronder.
De lichtbundel is optimaal uitgelijnd als u het lichtpunt zo rond mogelijk hebt
ingesteld. Laat de uitlijnring (C) in deze positie staan.
4. Zodra de ideale uitlijning bereikt is, schakelt u de zaklamp uit en brengt u
de rok (A) terug in de normale positie achter de kop van de zaklamp. Schuif
eerst de rok (A) over het handvat (B) tot aan de rand van de kartelring (E).
Indien de rok (A) niet helemaal doorschuift, is het mogelijk dat u ze moet
draaien tijdens het schuiven tot ze terug in lijn staat met de ribbels op de
grote plastic focusring (D). Wanneer de rok over deze ribbels glijdt, kan ze
worden verder geschoven tot aan de kartelring (E). Zodra de rok (A) tegen de
kartelring (E) zit, duw dan de rok terug naar voor zodat er geen ruimte
overblijft tussen de gekartelde ring (E) en de kap (F), en draai de gekartelde
ring (E) 1/16e slag links of rechts; laat daarna de rok los en blijf draaien aan
de kartelring (E). U hoort en ziet de rok terugklikken in de vergrendelde
positie. Als de rok (A) in de vergrendelde positie staat, kunt u deze weer
gebruiken om de lichtbundel van breed naar smal te veranderen.
OPMERKING: Wordt de kartelring (E) voorwaarts geschoven en gedraaid
terwijl de rok niet in positie staat, dan kan het mechanisme blokkeren en en
v
erhinderen dat de rok terugkeert naar de normale positie. Indien dit
voorvalt, duw dan de kartelring naar voor (richting kop van de zaklamp) en
draai enigszins (minder dan 1/16 slag) tot ze klikt en weggaat van de kap (F).
Plaats de rok dan terug in de normale positie volgens instructie #4.
HET OPSPOREN EN OPLOSSEN VAN FOUTEN
: Indien de zaklantaarn niet
aangaat of blijft staan op – 1. De batterijen controleren. Indien ze leeg zijn,

en vervangen. 2. Controleer de einddop. Zorg dat hij goed gesloten is. De
metalen oppervlakten die in contact komen met de cilinder, einddop en het
veerassemblage dienen blinkend metaal te zijn zonder enige obstructie
tussen het metaal en de vermelde onderdelen. Corrosie gevormd door een
vreemd product moet voorzichtig verwijderd worden. 3. Indien al de
b
ovenvermelde stappen genomen zijn en de zaklantaarn werkt nog niet
zoals het hoort, volg de instructies in de sectie Hoe en Wanneer een
Garantieklacht Indienen, of ga naar het gedeelte Customer Service op
www.maglite.com of neem contact op met onze dienst

INSPECTIE EN ONDERHOUD:
Om de levensduur te verlengen en omwille
van efficiëntie is het noodzakelijk om uw zaklantaarn af en toe te
inspecteren en als volgt preventief onderhoud uit te voeren: 1. Inspectie —
Alle batterijen kunnen bijtende oplossingen of gassen lekken die de
binnenzijde van uw zaklantaarn kunnen aantasten door corrosie. U dient de
batterijen tenminste eens per maand te verwijderen en visueel de
binnenkant van uw zaklantaarn te inspecteren op tekenen van corrosie.
Indien corrosie waargenomen wordt, volg de instructies in de sectie HOE
EN WANNEER EEN GARANTIEKLACHT INDIENEN. 2. Afzonderlijk bewaren
van batterijen — Indien uw zaklantaarn onregelmatig gebruikt wordt, bijv.
ééns per maand of minder, dan wordt aangeraden de batterijen te
verwijderen en ze afzonderlijk te bewaren. Dit helpt hen te beschermen
tegen corrosie en kan de levensduur van uw batterij verlengen. 3.
Onderhoud — Plaats iedere zes maanden een kleine hoeveelheid
petrolatum op alle draden en rubberen O-ringen.
WAARSCHUWINGEN
: VERMIJD OOGLETSELS – Kijk niet recht in de
straalbundel of schijn niet rechtstreeks op iemands gezicht. Indien dit
langer dan een paar seconden gebeurt, kan dit leiden tot schade aan het
netvlies. Alle batterijen kunnen schadelijke chemicaliên lekken die de huid,
kleding en de binnenkant van de zaklantaarn kunnen beschadigen. OM HET
RISICO OP VERWONDINGEN TE VERMIJDEN, HET MATERIAAL DAT UIT
EEN BATTERIJ LEKT NIET IN CONTACT MET DE OGEN OF DE HUID LATEN
KOMEN. Batterijen kunnen barsten of ontploffen indien ze in vuur gebracht
worden of op een andere wijze in contact komen met overdadige hitte. OM
HET RISICO OP VERWONDINGEN TE VERMIJDEN, DE BATTERIJEN NIET
BLOOTSTELLEN AAN OVERDADIGE HITTE. Om het risico op persoonlijke
verwondingen te beperken of schade aan uw zaklantaarn te voorkomen,
neem de volgende voorzorgsmaatregelen in acht: • Gebruik alleen alkaline
batterijen van een achtenswaardige fabrikant. • Gebruik geen

batterijen. • Nauwkeurig de stappen volgen die vermeld zijn onder
INSPECTIE EN ONDERHOUD. • Niet geschikt voor kinderen jonger dan 14
jaar.
BEPERKTE GARANTIE VAN TIEN JAAR
Mag Instrument, Inc. (Mag)
garandeert aan de oorspronkelijke eigenaar dat deze zaklantaarn vrij is van
tekortkomingen in materiaal en fabricage gedurende een periode van tien
jaar na aankoop in de detailhandel. Mag of een bevoegd Mag
garantieservicecentrum zal de zaklantaarn kosteloos repareren of, naar
eigen goeddunken, een defecte zaklantaarn of defect onderdeel vervangen.
(Mag garandeert niet dat bepaalde kleuren, markeringen of decoraties in de
toekomst beschikbaar zullen zijn en behoudt zich het recht voor een
speciale zaklantaarn te vervangen door een standaard zaklantaarn.)
Registratie is geen vereiste voor geldigheid van deze garantie. Deze
garantie vervangt alle andere garanties en voorwaarden, hetzij
uitdrukkelijk, hetzij impliciet.
UITSLUITINGEN: Deze garantie dekt geen van de volgende gebeurtenissen:
1. lege batterij; 2. lekkende batterij; 3. Uitbranden van de LED en/of storing
aan de LED-module, 4. beschadiging of slecht functioneren van de zaklamp
of enig onderdeel na wijziging, misbruik, een lekkende batterij of gebrek aan
onderhoud.
MAG WIJST ALLE AANSPRAKELIJKHEID AF VOOR BIJKOMENDE SCHADE
OF INDIRECTE SCHADE: In sommige rechtsgebieden (landen, provincies, en
s
taten) is het niet toegestaan om stilzwijgende garanties, bijkomende schade
waaronder gevolgschade en overdrachtsbeperkingen uit te sluiten of te
beperken, zodat bovenstaande beperkingen mogelijk niet op u van toepassing
zijn.
HOE EN WANNEER KUNT U EEN GARANTIEKLACHT INDIENEN? 1. In geval
de batterijen leeg zijn, de zaklantaarn niet terug op Mag stellen, maar de

atterijen vervangen. 2. In geval van schade aan de zaklantaarn als gevolg
van lekkende batterijen, stuur de zaklantaarn niet naar Mag terug, maar stel
vast welke batterijen de schade hebben veroorzaakt en dien een
schadeclaim in bij de fabrikant van de batterijen overeenkomstig zijn
instructies. 3. Voor terugzenden uit hoofde van garantie: Stuur de zaklantaarn
(
porto- of verzendingskosten vooruitbetaald) naar Mag Instrument, 1721 East
Locust Street - 51453, Ontario, California, USA 91761-7769, Attention:
“Warranty/Repair Department” of naar een door Mag goedgekeurd garantie-
servicecentrum. Raadpleeg de detailhandelaar waar u de zaklantaarn hebt
gekocht voor een door Mag goedgekeurd garantie- servicecentrum in uw

uurt of ga naar het gedeelte Customer Service op www.maglite.com. Wij
raden u aan alle teruggezonden goederen per aangetekende post en/of met
ontvangstbevestiging te versturen voor een snelle afhandeling van de zaak
en/of klacht per post. Verzend de zaklantaarn niet met de batterijen.
Naast de in deze garantie geboden specifieke wettelijke rechten, heeft u
mogelijkerwijze andere rechten, die van land tot land, van provincie tot
provincie en van staat tot staat kunnen verschillen. Indien een bepaling uit
deze garantie volgens de wet van enig rechtsgebied verboden is, zal een
dergelijke bepaling niet van toepassing zijn. Voor het overige blijft deze

MODE D’EMPLOI
: Insérez l’extrémité large du ressort de la pile dans le
capuchon. Installez toujours les piles de façon que le “+” soit vers la tête de
la lampe, et le “-” vers le capuchon de la lampe. Pour l’allumer – poussez
l’interrupteur. Largeur du faisceau – Tournez la tête de la lampe pour passer
d’un faisceau d’éclairage large à un spot concentré.
Les groupes de fonctions de votre lampe, et les fonctions de chacun des
groupes.
Comme le montre le schéma ci-dessous, votre lampe MAGLITE® ML100™
dispose de cinq fonctions différentes – Pleine Puissance, Economie d’Energie
(25% d’énergie), Stroboscope (12 flashes par seconde), Signal SOS (le code
de détresse international en Morse) et l’Allumage Momentané On/Off (ne
reste allumé que si vous maintenez l’interrupteur enfoncé). L’importance de
ces fonctions varie selon l’utilisateur. Pour un officier de police, il est
important de disposer de la fonction d’allumage momentané ON/OFF ; un
marin préférera disposer rapidement de la fonction Signal SOS. C’est
pourquoi ces fonctions sont regroupées en quatre groupes différents – vous
pouvez personnaliser votre lampe et l’adapter parfaitement à vos besoins en
configurant un accès rapide aux fonctions qui vous sont les plus utiles.
Comment choisir une fonction dans un groupe
Le tableau suivant récapitule les groupes de fonctions disponibles et les
fonctions de chaque groupe :
Lorsque vous la sortez de son emballage, votre lampe MAGLITE® ML100™
LED est réglée sur le groupe de fonctions “Standard” (Groupe de fonctions
n°1 du schéma). Si vous n’avez besoin que de ces trois fonctions (pleine
puissance, économie d’énergie et stroboscope), vous n’avez pas besoin de
modifier le réglage. Vous pouvez sélectionner une des fonctions du groupe
par un clic rapide : Allumez la lampe en cliquant rapidement une fois, et elle
est en mode Pleine Puissance. Eteignez-la puis rallumez-la avec deux clics
rapides (aussi rapides que si vous disiez « clic clic ») et elle éclaire à 25% de
puissance - en mode Economie d’Energie. Eteignez-la à nouveau et rallumez-
la avec trois clics rapides (aussi rapides que si vous disiez « clic clic clic ») et
elle est en mode Stroboscope.
Pour sélectionner une fonction dans un autre groupe de fonctions, procédez
de la même manière, avec un, deux ou trois clics rapides, comme le montre
le schéma. Par exemple, si vous êtes dans le groupe de fonctions n°2 et que
vous souhaitez sélectionner la fonction Signal SOS, éteignez la lampe, cliquez
trois fois rapidement, et votre lampe enverra le signal SOS (trois points, trois
traits et trois points : . . . -- -- -- . . .)
C
omment passer d’un groupe de fonctions à un autre
L
e réglage « standard » de votre lampe MAGLITE® ML100™ LED est le
groupe de fonctions n°1. Si vous souhaitez garder ce réglage, vous n’avez
rien à faire. Le groupe de fonctions n°1 sera toujours actif si vous ne changez
par les réglages. Pour choisir un autre groupe de fonctions, procédez comme
suit :
1. Dévissez le capuchon (il n’est pas nécessaire de le retirer complètement ;
il suffit de le dévisser juste assez pour que la lampe ne s’allume pas).
2. Attendez 2 secondes.
3. Appuyez sur l’interrupteur et maintenez-le enfoncé.
4. Tout en maintenant l’interrupteur, revissez le capuchon en place, jusqu’à
c
e qu’il soit bien serré.
5
. Maintenez toujours l’interrupteur enfoncé. Au bout de 4 secondes environ,
la lampe va commencer à clignoter.
6. Le nombre de clignotements indique le nouveau groupe de fonctions
sélectionné.
7
. Pour choisir un autre groupe de fonctions, relâchez l’interrupteur après le
nombre de clignotements correspondant au n° du groupe de fonctions choisi
(relâchez après un clignotement pour le groupe de fonctions n°1 ; après 2
c
lignotements pour le groupe de fonctions n°2 ; après 3 clignotements pour
le groupe de fonctions n°3 et après 4 clignotements pour le groupe de
f
onctions n°4). Le groupe de fonctions choisi reste le groupe de fonctions par
défaut jusqu’à ce que vous décidiez de le changer en répétant le procédé ci-

Comment bien régler l’alignement du faisceau de votre lampe torche
Le faisceau de votre lampe MAGLITE® ML100™ LED est aligné à l’usine, et
v
ous pouvez parfaitement utiliser votre lampe sans procéder à aucune
modification de réglage. Pour les utilisateurs qui souhaiteraient modifier les
réglages pour obtenir un faisceau plus large, plus fin ou mieux centré, il suffit
de suivre les étapes décrites ci-dessous. Vous pouvez également procéder à
un nouveau réglage de votre faisceau si votre lampe a subi un usage brutal.
Pour régler l’alignement du faisceau, il faut desserrer la « collerette » (la
moitié arrière de la tête de lampe, indiquée par (A) les images 2 et 4), faire
glisser la collerette le long du corps de la lampe (B) pour accéder à la bague
d’alignement (C sur les Fig. 3 et 4), régler le faisceau jusqu’à obtenir un point
aussi petit que possible en utilisant l’anneau de réglage (D dans les Fig. 3 et
4), puis en déplaçant la bague d’alignement (C) jusqu’à obtenir un réglage
parfait. Détail des étapes :
1. Tout d’abord, desserrez la collerette de la lampe (A) en tenant le corps de
la lampe (B) dans votre main droite et la tête dans votre main gauche, et en
posant le pouce et l’index de votre main droite sur la base de la collerette (A),
comme sur la Fig. 1 :
2. Avec le pouce et l’index droits, poussez la collerette (A) vers l’avant jusqu’à
obstruer l’espace entre la collerette et le capuchon avant (F). Tout en
maintenant la pression vers l’avant avec votre main droite, attrapez la bague
moletée (E) entre votre pouce et votre index gauches, et commencez à la
tourner dans un sens ou dans l’autre. Après avoir tourné la bague moletée (E)
de 5 mm environ, relâchez la collerette (A) et continuez à tourner la bague
moletée (E). La bague moletée (E) va revenir et relâcher la collerette (A), ce
qui va vous permettre de la faire glisser le long du corps de la lampe (B). La
bague d’alignement (C) apparaît.
3. Après avoir fait glisser la collerette (A) le long du corps de la lampe (B)
comme sur les Fig. 3 et 4, allumez la lampe. Juste derrière la bague moletée
(E) se trouve un grand anneau de plastique appelé anneau de réglage (D). En
tournant l’anneau de réglage (D) dans un sens ou dans l’autre, réglez la
largeur du faisceau jusqu’à obtenir un point aussi petit que possible. Une fois
le réglage effectué, repérez le petit anneau de plastique appelé bague
d’alignement (C), que vous utiliserez pour régler l’alignement du faisceau.
Tenez le corps de la lampe (B) dans votre main droite (voir Fig. 4), prenez la
bague d’alignement (C) entre le pouce et l’index droits. Puis « inclinez » la
bague d’alignement (C) dans différentes directions et observez l’effet que
cela a sur le point lumineux. Vous verrez que le point lumineux se déforme ou
s’arrondit. Repérez la position qui permet d’avoir un point aussi rond que
possible, et vous aurez correctement aligné le faisceau. Laissez la bague
d’alignement (C) dans cette position.
4. Après avoir trouvé le meilleur alignement, éteignez la lampe et serrez la
collerette (A) dans sa position initiale, à l’arrière de la tête de la lampe. Faites
