CLEANING TIPS

Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the

xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.

PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION

Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes above. Shut off

the power at the circuit breaker and completely remove the old xture from the ceiling,

including the old mounting strap.

1.Takethemountingstrapassemblyfromthepartsbag.Mountingstrap(B)containsseveral

threadedholes.Twoofmountingscrews(A)shouldbeattachedtomountingstrap(B).You

mayneedtotightennuts(C)thatholdthesescrewsinplace.Ifthescrewsarenotattached,

pleaseholdcanopy(F)uptomountingstrap(B).Lineuptheholesincanopy(F)withtheholes

inmountingstrap(B)andinsertmountingscrews(A)intomountingstrap(B)sothatmounting

screws(A)protrudethroughtheholesincanopy(F).Mountingscrews(A)arelong,sopleasetest

thecanopyagainstthemountingstraptoseehowfaryoushouldinsertthescrews.Removethe

canopyandthentightennuts(C)ontomountingscrews(A)toholdthescrewsinplace.

2.Placemountingstrap(B)overthejunctionboxandsecureinplacewithmountingscrews(D).

Tightenthescrewssecurelywithascrewdriver.

ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE

3.Measuretodeterminethecorrectnumberofrods(Kand/orL)neededforproperhanging

height.

4.Threadthexture’swiresthroughrods(Kand/orL)beforethreadingtherodstogetherandthen

ontopost(M).Tolengthenthexture,addadditionalrods.Ifadditionalrodsareneeded,contact

theplaceofpurchasetoorder.Toshortenthexture,slideanyexcessrodsoffthexture’swires

todiscard.Pullthewiresthroughrodloop(I)andthreadrodloop(I)intothetoprod(KorL).Open

chainconnector(G)andhookthechainconnectortorodloop(I)andcanopyloop(P).Closechain

connector(G).Passthexture’swiresthroughthechainconnector,canopyloop,andcanopy(F).

Keepatleast8to10inchesofwiremorethanthedesiredlengthandtrimtheexcesswires.

FINISHING THE INSTALLATION

6.Pushcanopy(F)uptotheceilingandtightlythreadnuts(H)ontothethreadsofmountingscrews(A).

7.Pushglassshade(O)upoverthethreadsofsocket(N).Securetheglassinplacebytwistingsocketcover(J)ontothesocket.

8.Installalightbulb(notprovided)basedonthexture’sspecications.Donotexceedthemaximumwattage.

Yourinstallationisnowcomplete.Turnonthepowerandtestthexture.

CONNECTING THE WIRES

5.Haveanassistantsupportthexture’sweightwhilecompletingthewiring.Refertothewiring

diagramandattachthexture’swirestothepowersupplywiresfromthejunctionbox.Connect

HottoHot(blackorsmooth),NeutraltoNeutral(whiteorribbed),andGroundtoGround(greenor

copper).Twisttheendsofthewirepairstogether,andthentwistonawireconnector.Makesure

alltwistsareinthesamedirection.Ifthereisnohousegroundwirecomingfromthejunctionbox,

locategroundscrew(E)onthemountingbracket/mountingstrapandwrapthexture’sground

wirearoundthegroundscrew.Useascrewdrivertotightenthetopofgroundscrew(E)ontothe

wiresandintothemountingbracket/mountingstrap.Tuckthewiresintothejunctionbox.
